For the 7th edition, Virginie Coupérie-Eiffel, founder of the LONGINES GLOBAL CHAMPIONS TOUR - LONGINES PARIS EIFFEL JUMPING wished to put the equestrian world in the spotlight, with the professional rider Philippe Rozier and the model, actress and rider, Iman Perez. They will represent the Parisian leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour and the GCL and will be accompanied by a unique ambassador, Bacon’s Eiffel horse.
“The LGCT-LPEJ celebrates the best horses in the world, the horse is at the heart of this event. It therefore seemed essential to me to give the horse a voice through the story of a future star. I am proud that for the first time a horse is playing the role of an ambassador, especially with Iman and Philippe: they form a strong trio”, Virginie Coupérie Eiffel
Philippe Rozier, Olympic team champion in 2016 in Rio with his loyal Rahotep de Toscane, has never missed an edition of the LONGINES GLOBAL CHAMPIONS TOUR - LONGINES PARIS EIFFEL JUMPING.
2021 will therefore be on his calendar to compete in the classes in front of the Iron Lady and play his role of ambassador with the passion that drives him.
“It is with great joy and enthusiasm that I will be there next June. For me, it's full of memories, a great audience, incredible moments and I hope one day to win the Grand Prix! Great sport in the capital for Paris 2024. I can't wait to be there! "
The model, Iman Perez, has been passionate about horseback riding from a very young age. It was on the set of the movie Fanfan la Tulipe, with her father actor Vincent Perez, which she fell in love with horses and decided to ride. She took part in many CSI 1* competitions and always come at the LGCT-LPEJ with pleasure, in which she has participated since 2017 and whose incredible location made her dream.
“This jumping is very special when you're Parisian, it's extraordinary to be in front of the Eiffel Tower in the heart of your own city. Virginie has been my coach for a long time and I have often ridden the horses of her breeding. I am delighted to be an ambassador for the 2017 edition alongside a gold medalist, Philippe Rozier, and Eiffel de Bacon."
Eiffel de Bacon, born and bred in Château Bacon stud farm managed by Virginie Coupérie-Eiffel (7-year-old gelding, son of two champions: his mother Jolie de B'Neville and his father l'Arc de Triomphe), is one of the best of his generation. Like French actor Jean Rochefort did, a celebrity will lend his voice to Eiffel de Bacon to make us discover his life as a young horse, his ambitions and his feelings and his preparation for the LGCT-LPEJ 2021. An original ambassador for a show that likes to make people dream.
